Happy Friday, all! The other day when the wind was blowing raucously through the tree tops I hunkered down in my stamp room long enough to make a card. I used my Peony Love digital stamp from Power Poppy. What a beauty! I’ve been meaning to get this one colored up for a long time. Since I needed a thank you card I chose a sentiment from the Potted Primroses clear set.
After coloring with Copics I cut out the center with a craft knife. Layered that onto the green which I’d cut a hole in with a circle die. The pretty butterfly fluttering in the center is a Little B sticker. I used ribbon, too! It’s adhered flat with 1/2” Scor Tape and the ends frayed slightly. I sanded the green cardstock and added a die cut fence, also sanded just a bit. I didn’t photograph the Copics, but I’ll list them:
- Light pink flowers: RV00, RV02, RV04
- Dark pink flowers: RV10, RV63, RV55, RV66
- Flower centers: Y11, Y15, Y17
- Leaves: G43, G46, G28
- Smudgy outer shading: E55, E53, E51
Gosh, that was fun, and now I can’t wait to do more. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. Have a happy day!
Stamps: Peony Love (wreath), Potted Primroses (sentiment) Paper: X-Press It Blending Card, CTMH New England Ivy and Desert Sand, white card base, Snap Wood & Notebook Basics designer paper Ink: Printer, Memento Tuxedo Black (sentiment), Copics as listed above Accessories: Offray ribbon, Little B butterfly sticker, Impression Obsession Beach Fence, Spellbinders Standard Circles Large (to cut hole in green panel under wreath), Scotch brand foam mounting tape
WoW this is just stunning and coloured to perfection..

oooooooh! Shabby Chic come to visit with the utmost beauty! WOWSER, Miss Leslie! Gorgeously colored wreath, and your background is just amazing. One of the design styles uniquely your own, is the interesting feature at the bottom "border" of your cards. You usually add a little something unique, intriguing, visually appealing, that never detracts from your main event, and always makes it pop out even more. That's what a good design does, and I wish I could master that even half as well as you do! GORGEOUS garden - like I'm at your backyard gate, being greeted by this wreath before walking into Wally's and Lulu's domain! I hope you enjoy a wonderful week-end! hugs, de

I am so in love with this card! Your coloring is always so magnificent the flowers look real . Which makes your cards almost look like a photograph of the real thing . I must have missed this image or it would have been in my cart . Love the way you cut the center out and let the barn wood show through . This is another WOW card for sure !

Oh, sigh...or shall I say breathless! I just ooh'd at first sight of this gorgeous wreath, Leslie! Your coloring is so rich and beautiful, and I love the DP you've used. I really love that you took the time to cut out the center to show the weathered wood behind...it's really a wonderful touch. And as Donna said above, I love how you usually add a lovely "something" extra at the bottom, and this beautiful ribbon is that perfect finishing touch. Love the shabby chic feel too with your sanding. This is exquisite, and I'm so glad you colored it up and shared!! Have a wonderful weekend, my friend, and sending hugs!

Shut the front door!! Oh my goodness Leslie, what a stunner of a card! Gorgeous colours and colouring, beautiful wreath, love how you cut the center to have the wood grain paper show from behind and the fence is such a a nice addition, it fits so perfectly! Pretty ribbon too. I just keep scrolling back up to look again. WOW, big sigh! Oh and that little butterfly, it's just perfect! I can't wait for you to do more as well. Always look forward to your posts. Okay, you have done it again, I'm off to create something. I have 29 cards to make for a Director at work - I was floored when she asked me. Enjoy your weekend Leslie.
