Hello, there! I’ll just pop in with a quick post today to share this Delicate Twining Asters card I made a couple of weeks ago. They were still on my desk from another card I shared previously and I decided to have another go before setting them aside again. I went a little playful by using a cheerful Stampendous sentiment and dotting around all the curves and curlicues.
I do make a lot of get well cards for my one customer. She picked up a sizeable order recently so I’m starting to work on the next batch. No hurry necessary, but she sends a lot of cards and will take all I can possibly make for her. I love that she corresponds the old school way with cards and letters. She even sends cards and letters to me, so I reply to her the same way. If we’re going to make cards we might as well send them, right? I’ve mailed out no less than 10 cards this month, and they were all for specific reasons – thank you, get well, thinking of you, birthday… I need to replenish my own stash as well as hers.
I’ll list all ingredients in the recipe below my signature, but pictured here are the Copic markers I used for coloring:
I'm so glad you could stop in! I’ll be along with more stamping shortly. Have a happy day!
Stamps: Heartfelt Creations Delicate Twining Asters, Stampendous Hope You’re Better Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Amethyst Bazzill Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Barely Banana (sponging on butterfly wings), Copics as pictured above Accessories: Stickles Stardust glitter, Impression Obsession Medium Butterflies die, Scotch brand foam mounting tape
Such a pretty delightful card Leslie! I'm always happy to see your creations. Love how simple this card is - only one layer- I find it hard to do just one layer I always feel it needs more but that is not always the case. Love how you stamped the images to leave room for your sentiment. And those little dots around the vines and butterfly - love it, it just adds that little bit of interest. You are so good at mailing cards. I never seem to mail cards for no reason, it's always for a birthday or sympathy. I really should send cards more often. Have a happy day as well. Looking forward to next time whenever you have the time to do so.

Such a pretty image and I love the colors you used. Glad to see I'm not the only one who does 2 colors at times. Love the curlicue flourishes and the dots around them - really striking!

Beautiful!!!, such lovely shading on the flowers and your dot work and highlighting of the letters is such a neat touch to the card!! I agree, every card I make is for someone for some reason or another, I am sure the post office loves me for keeping them in business, LOL!

Oh, sigh... I didn't even recognize the image! I thought it might have been professionally done designer paper! (sorry if that is actually a slap in the face, but I mean it in the nicest of ways, Leslie!). GORGEOUS coloring, right down to the dots around the stems. I like what you said regarding the correspondence being the old way. I enjoy sending cards as well, but don't have as many to send as I would like.
Your gorgeous masterpieces must bring lots of cheer. I know they do to me!
love,
de

Oh, how beautiful, Leslie! I am still behind but making progress, but I'm getting there! Anyway, I love these asters and love your coloring. And what a great idea to add the small yellow dots. I always love yellow and purple, so it works beautiful, and what a lovely sentiment! You are one busy card-maker! Hugs, sweet friend!
