Hello, friends! I hope this week is treating you well. Happily I found a little extra time to color something pretty so I selected Power Poppy’s Tulips in Hobnail Pitcher from my pile of printed-but-not-yet-colored digis. I hoped to keep this simple, so just some gingham and stitching and a white vining die cut border. The border is a retired Memory Box called Honeysuckle Vine. The card is 5 1/2”. Honestly, simple is just the way I like it when I’ve got such a beautiful image to work with.
I printed on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White and colored with Copics. The shadowing around the image is subtle and diffuse so isn’t too apparent in the photo, but it makes a difference in the overall appearance. These are the Copics I used:
I initially planned to leave this sentiment-free as I do like having blank cards on hand, but I love the quote that comes with this digi set, so I used it inside:
The purple tulips stamped down the side are from the Power Poppy clear stamp set, Dynamic Duos: Peonies and Tulips.
Joining two challenges today:
- Let’s Color Linky Party 8 – Always anything goes with something colored.
- Tuesday Throwdown 291 – Anything Goes
Thanks so much for sharing your time with me. Enjoy your day!
Stamps: Tulips in Hobnail Pitcher digi, Dynamic Duos: Peonies and Tulips clear set (both Power Poppy) Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Orchid Opulence (retired Stampin’ Up!), MFT Homespun Gingham designer paper Ink: Printer, Orchid Opulence (retired Stampin’ Up!), Copics for coloring as pictured above Accessories: Memory Box Honeysuckle Vine (retired)
A great card designed perfectly and I am thrilled to see this and I only purchased the digi image yesterday, can't wait to colour it up now...xx

Beautifully created...wow..I had to look at it on my Kindle Fire so I could study those gorgeous tulips with all the shading...I would love to color like you, but it just will never happen..sigh...but at least I can dream about it when I see yours and I love when you show us your Copics as it gives me an idea of what to buy next! Of course I LOVE the gingham in the background it just sets it off so perfectly! And of course the delicate die cut at the bottom just finishes it all off...nice to look at today since it is cold, gloomy and rainy!!

SO, SO pretty Leslie! Your coloring is always perfect and you continue to inspire me to SEW on my cards (which I haven't done YET ... but will!) As soon as the image popped up on my screen I knew I loved it but then I scrolled down and saw the die cut on the bottom of your card ... PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL!! What a great idea! Thanks for continued inspiration! Have a great day!

Pitter patter goes my heart! What a stunning gorgeous card! Your colouring is amazing, those tulips looks so real. Beautifully put together and your right for such a beautiful image you just need to keep the card simple and you did just that. The MB border is exquisite, it's just perfect! Beautiful inside and out. Wow, I have scrolled up to look at your card several times as I comment - I"m just in awe! Have a wonderful weekend. Our birding season is starting so Bill and I will be out to the national/provincial parks to see what migratory birds we will see. It's suppose to be a beautiful weekend, can't wait. I'm so far behind in posting but hope to get something posted sometime this weekend.

Just stunning Leslie, so love the coloring, even on the vase, pretty layering of the image and the stitching is a nice frame for the whole card, the vine die cut is a nice touch!! Love the way you did the inside too, just tops it off nicely.
Have a fun weekend!!

Oh MY! Look at the amazing highlights in your tulips! To be honest, the sentiment is my favorite part LOL - but that is because I can hear your voice saying it with the emphasis in the same places! I love the barely noticeable lavender swiped across the pitcher. Once again, your stitching has me in awe. It brings a delicate-ness to your already very pretty card. It's beautiful and PINNED! love, de
