Well, it’s darn near the end of the month and I’m finally getting around to the peek-a-boo sketch for our Power Poppy Power & Spark Challenge. I’ll have to admit while there were so many creative and pretty ideas evidenced by the Bloom Brigade and the challenge players for this sketch, it had me stumped. Or something. Anyway, I ended up using Sassy Succulents – small images, fun and easy to color. Nothing popped up, some rick rack trim and a stitched flag. A few enamel dots.
Here’s the sketch:
Looks easy enough, right? Sheesh! I’m using my illness as an excuse – pneumonia, and it had me down all month. It’s nothing to sneeze at. Or, wait… maybe it IS something to sneeze at… and cough. I’m much better now, finally!
Have a look at more Power Poppy by my Bloomie sisters who probably have something amazing to show you:
Thanks for dropping in! Simple card recipe is below my signature. Have a good day!

glad you're feeling better. I dislike working with sketches. It seems to stunt my creativity... too confining.
Your card turned out lovely. Have a great day

Oh, Leslie, you've really delighted with this beautiful sketch card, and I just love these darling succulents! They are perfect for this sketch, and I love your coloring and the great DP you've used, along with the sweet rick-rack, stitching, and sweet enamel dots! I do believe I still have some in my sewing stash and keep forgetting about it. It is lovely on cards. I continue to pray for your complete healing, sweet friend, and know that pneumonia just drains your body of energy and trust that the coughing will soon go away completely! In the meantime, I hope you'll find time for rest. And enjoy this weekend, sweet friend. Aren't you so glad you are retired?! Hugs, and thanks for the beautiful inspiration! xoxo

I think I deleted my post earlier! The succulents are perfect for a peek-a-boo sketch; of course, you've colored them to be so lifelike. (I'm sorry to read that you've had pneumonia ... it's a miserable illness. Hope you are on the mend.)

I'm so sorry you have been under the weather for such a while, but glad you are on the mend. Love your card today (yes I'm late at leaving comments this past week), I think those succulents work perfectly with this months challenge. Love how you did the ric rak along the bottom, and those enamel dots finish this off lovely! Take care and thanks for sharing.
