As I mentioned before, we’re sharing Power Poppy new release previews this week – five fabulous clear stamp sets. I’ll have to skip a couple of days for other commitments, but I’ll be here for most of it. Yesterday the Instant Gardeners showcased the brand new digital set, Flowers Always, and today we’re moving right along to the clear stamps with Planning for Magnolias.
There’s a reason for the name of this set, but you’ll have to visit the Power Poppy Blog to see what Marcella has to say about it. This week’s sets will have you looking forward to spring, for sure!
I colored the magnolia branch no-line style, with a pink outline and Copic markers on X-Press It Blending Card. Gee, I forgot to photograph the Copics, but I will list what I used on the bloom petals: RV000, RV00, RV10, RV63, RV55. More ingredients will be listed in the recipe below my signature.
Seeing as how there’s lots to see today and all week long, I won’t keep you. Check out more Planning for Magnolias here:
Thanks so much for your time!

Leslie this is so beautiful. The no-line style makes it look more like a painting than a card! The butterfly on the bottom is a really sweet touch. I just love butterflies! Cheers.

How pretty your magnolia "tulip" blooms are! They looks just like the ones on our tree which are about to burst open! I love the color and softness. The bees always hurry because the scent is amazing, and they can finally feast on something substantial after a long winter - we try to keep flowers blooming all year long for them... but you know how Mother Nature sometimes interferes with that. Your card (and the new images) are beautiful! hugs, de

A Masterpiece! Leslie this is so beautiful - the no lines on your image makes your flowering magnolia look so real! You have mastered your copic colouring, I wish I could get such detail with copics - I guess practice makes perfect - I will continue to practice :). Your complete layout is fabulous, love all the embossing, die cutting and your finished details! Just GORGEOUS!!

OH Leslie...this is one of the dreamiest cards ever! I absolutely adore your no line coloring...you really have such a gift! The colors you chose are so vibrant and beautiful and the clean layout really show it off perfectly. I love the added stitching, the embossed background and that precious butterfly....if I had seen this without your watermark, I still would've known it was one of your gorgeous creations, my friend! Sending hugs your way and smooches for the goldies (did they have a nice Valentine's Day?)

Wow, Leslie, my heart skipped a beat at the sight of this gorgeousness! Your coloring is exquisite, sweet friend, and you've made this image shine with such beauty! I love your no-line coloring, and I love the card with the beautiful border and stitching along with the sweet butterfly (with the bit of coloring) and the leaf! It's completely stunning and such an eye-catcher! Wow, I'm in love! Can't wait to see more! Hugs, sweet friend!

These flowers might intrigue me more than any other...they are unbelievably elegant, yet so abundant on a tree! Each spring, I drive across the Blue Mountains to Walla Walla where there are all kinds of magnolia trees. A friend told me about Pioneer Park where the trees are glorious. I'm looking forward to this year's visit. Your magnolia blossoms are glorious in vibrant color. I would love to purchase this set, but I just don't color very well.
