Hello, friends! It’s been a busy week here on the blog, and at home, too, I might add. All good stuff, so no worries. Right now I would like to share one last (for the time being) Power Poppy new release card with you. All the sets we’ve been previewing this week are now available in the store and ready to ship. Love, love, LOVE this Folk Heart set! I had something else going on the day it was previewed so I hope you had a chance to see what the rest of the team created. Fabulous stuff, I tell you! I used not one scrap of designer paper or a single embellishment, even though I have lots that would be cute with this set. Instead I used all stamps – the main image and the decorated frame. Very fun!
The oval frame and inner oval were cut with Memory Box Oval Master Frame. I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers, then sponged the edges with Adirondack Sand ink. There’s another cute Folk Heart stamp inside paired with a sentiment from My English Rose.
These are the markers I used:
Be sure and visit Marcella at the Power Poppy Blog and drop by to see something fabulous here:
I must run off now, but I’ll be right back here tomorrow. Have yourself a very happy day!

Leslie, how beautiful! LOVE the four adorned corners with the leaves colored "in half". Such tiny leaves they are! Those darling popped up sunflowers make a wonderful sweetness to your oval - much like seeing an oval frame hanging in great-grandma's house. I feel like I'm in someone's delightfully sunny kitchen, enjoying a friendly conversation with the smell of freshly baked goodies and much happiness all around. BEAUTIFUL design and just makes me smile so much! I love how your artwork always brings a smile to my little face! love, de

Oh my, Leslie, this is GORGEOUS! I just love folk art, and this is so my style! Oh, I love your coloring and how you've used the oval with the "matting" by cutting it out, and I adore the sweet sunflowers at the top and bottom, and the leaves that adorn the corners are amazing with your half coloring them - oh my! Just about the sweetest and most perfect colors and coloring! Oh, I can hardly wait to play with this set! Love, love, love it! Thanks for sharing this beauty! It must have been fun to play with! Hugs, sweet friend!

This is beautiful! It reminds me of the folk art tole painted trays my grandmother had. Brings back wonderful memories in addition to being gorgeous.

Oh, I really love this design ! It reminds me of tole painting. You were so right to use just the stamps and nothing else . The image is beautiful enough to stand alone . I love how you matted this gorgeous image . Awesome!!
