It’s Double D Challenge day! We’ve been having so much fun with this and the entries have been fabulous. So, let’s do it again, shall we? For the next two weeks our challenge is “Red and White”. The choice is yours how you’d like to portray that. I colored up some pretty Power Poppy flowers from the Dynamic Duos: Glads and Gerberas clear stamp set.
Coloring was done with Copic markers, but I don’t seem to have a photo of the colors I used. My computer has been eating photos every now and then ever since I changed to Windows 10. Anyone else having problems like that? I’ve been backing up the most important things. Well, at least I still have this one. I’ve used an all white card base and a bit of polka dot ribbon, but I avoided the bow this time so I could keep it an easy mailer. Inside, the sentiment says “I’m so glad to know you”. Cute, huh? Pictured below is the beautiful inspiration board:
I’ve got the red and white, plus polka dots and a heart. There’s a lot of inspiration in that photo! Hop on over to the Double D Challenge Blog and see more inspiration in the wonderful samples the team whipped up. Have a beautiful day!
Stamps: Power Poppy Dynamic Duos: Glads and Gerberas Paper: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics for coloring Accessories: Ribbon, Cheery Lynn Dutch Daisy Boutique Stacker A2 Frame, Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Borders, retired Spellbinders/JustRite heart die, Scotch brand foam mounting tape
Beautifully colored card Leslie...makes such a pretty statement with those gorgeous flowers! I haven't loaded windows 10 yet, it scares me as my computer is so old..lol! Thank you for your nice comments, I am trying to get my life without Nellie back to normal, I do struggle with it though, she was my heart and soul!

Ooooo, I love a red and white card and you certainly created a beaut with your expert coloring and luscious die cut layers. I really like the simple ribbon detail here and I think you and I both have a love affair with that sweet sentiment, don't we? ;) I am thinking I may have to investigate your pretty die cut background....hmmmm. :)

another beauty, so pretty with the highlights, gives it such depth, and I like that you can still see through the sheer ribbon, pretty background for it too!

Stunning Leslie! I love when you colour because not only do you inspire me but you always bring your images to life. These glads look so real. Your image against the white background just makes it pop. Love your finishing touches with the ribbon and the heart - nice sentiment inside as well! Oh and forgot to mention the lovely die cut frame. Gorgeous!

Fabulous card Leslie. Love the background. Is that embossed or cut out. I am a Windows 10 hold out. I hear good things and then bad things.
