We have no ice and snow currently here on the Oregon coast, but I would definitely call it chilly. Today’s card was originally intended as a winter birthday card (hence the “happy happy happy”), but I can’t help but see snowmen as Christmas, so I used it for that, instead. Yes, I made this way back in December – just working ahead and so happy happy happy I’m able to do that when given the opportunity. You see, my chilly guy heralds the start of a new challenge at the Double D Challenges blog. Our theme this time is “Brrrr!”.
I used a cute Bugaboo image – “Sign It – Snowman” -- which I picked up during their December 50% off sale. Colored with Copics and a bit of snow and sparkle added for good measure. The red zigzag is an old Hero Arts stamp, as is the happy greeting. I’ll list everything in the recipe below my signature.
Check out the inspiration board:
I went with snow and snowman, tree branches, and a bit of red. I hope you’ll be inspired to join us at Double D. We had some wonderful entries in our previous challenge which got us off to a good start. Have a happy happy happy day!

What a cute snowman and I think of snowmen and women as January and snow season creatures! Your card would work for so many different things and it's just very, very cute!

No, no, no -- snowmen are NOT just for Christmas. Those of us who live in winter climates where we could have snow from even as early as November all the way through March certainly don't see snowmen as Christmas things. Yes, many stamp designers make snowman stamps that are specifically for Christmas and that's fine, but most of the snowman stamps I own (and that is a ton of them) are just winter stamps and can be used all winter long. I don't get card makers who put their winter (snowmen, snowflakes, etc.) stamps away immediately after Christmas. In so many places, winter is just getting started in full force after Christmas. (Just saw in the news this morning that the northeast is bracing for a winter storm. I don't know how big it will be, but from what I saw on the news last month, they didn't even have any snowy or cold weather around Christmas.) I love making winter themed cards all through January and February. According to our calendar, since winter doesn't officially begin until Dec. 21st, those have always been the main winter months in all the places I've lived around the country. So, come on and get those snowman stamps out and use them more! :)

CUTE, We're chilly here with forecast of snow today. But I still hesitate to make anything wintery. I just want flowers... Have a great day

Such a cute and fun design Leslie. Love all your coloring and how you add the zig zag (I still have mine too) and the Happy sign. TFS my friend.

Super sweet! Look at this little guy, peeking out from behind the sign and waving to us. He's (or she's) so adorable! I love snow people....I may have to find him at the link you provided. I do say that a lot on your posts, don't I? It's your fault you know....you show us too many cute stamps! Great card, Leslie!
