How about some flowers today? These gorgeous Power Poppy Camellias are about as far from the current season as you can get, but after doing quite a few fall and Christmas cards I get to longing for my flowers.
I did some distressing, some machine stitching, and some faux cross stitching. Guess you know I love to stitch. The Memory Box Cross Stitched Frame Borders have become a real go-to die set for me. When I cut the cross stitched layer I centered it on a 4” x 5 1/4” panel. It left a plain narrow frame which I decided to use on the card with the rest of the layers set into it. I really wanted to use one of my new Paper Smooches Hello Words, too. I’ve been feeling I “needed” more word dies and “hello” seemed like a good place to start.
The Camellias are one of Power Poppy’s digital stamps. I printed on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with Copic markers. Added a few dots of Stickles glitter around the flowers. I shadowed the “hello” with pink and applied one coat of Diamond Glaze to the word. These are the markers I used for coloring:
- See new samples Monday through Friday on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.
- While away some time shopping the huge selection at the Dies R Us store.
- Play to win (or just for fun) on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.

Beautiful, such pretty coloring of the flowers and I love that you cut the hello out with two different colors to tie it together, that bow is so pretty and love it with the silver cord. I have been loving your stitched frames so much I bought some the last time I went to my LSS.

This is a gorgeous card, and I have heard the camellia called a "Christmas rose", so maybe this card is very appropriate for the season!
