Hello, there! What a lovely week it’s been. Relaxing and stress free. I’ve rediscovered a good night’s sleep. I’ve had friend time, doggie time, hubby time. The garden’s watered, laundry’s caught up, and the refrigerator has been cleaned within an inch of its life. My stamping routine has gotten out of whack, but I’ll work that out in due time. My days are awash with options on how I spend them and it’s been absolutely delightful.
Today I’ll be sharing my adventures in stamping. There’s another post below this one, so scroll down for more if you so desire. I’ve used one of Marcella’s new digital stamps – Sunflower Power – for my Power Poppy offering this week. In fact, I combined it with Power Poppy’s Sunny Harvest set (smaller image and sentiment).
I wouldn’t necessarily call this shabby chic, but a little shabby, perhaps. Rustic. Countrified. Just wanted to remind you of our current challenge at Power Poppy -- Shabby & Chic.
Bloom Brigade gals also sharing today are as follows:
Thanks for joining me today! Now, don’t forget to scroll down for more. See you again soon!
Stamps: Sunflower Power digi, Sunny Harvest clear stamp set (both Power Poppy) Paper: X-Press It Blending Card, CTMH Oak Brown, Memory Bo Sage, Anna Griffin designer paper Ink: Printer, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers for coloring Accessories: Linen thread, corner punch, Cheery Lynn Chicken Wire, Spellbinders Grand Squares and Classic Squares Large, Scotch brand foam mounting tape (to pop up sunflower bloom)
Oh, this is so pretty!!! Love what you did with the smaller image in the corner! Love all the sanding too. Very pretty.

Oh my shabby & rustic for sure! Leslie this is amazing, love all the texture - the chicken wire, to your distress frame and edges - wow simply eye pleasing for sure. Your sunflower cut out perfectly and coloured just perfect - looks like my sunflowers in my back yard!Great choice for papers, a real rustic/earthy tone, and love the little sunflower in the corner, nice way to frame your sentiment! Gorgeous Leslie, sigh... you always inspire me - I'm off today, I hope to get some colouring time in. I'm so glad you have had a great week, sounds like you are adjusting to 'retirement' very well! Enjoy!

Wow, Leslie! This is so beautiful.. where do I begin. I love that you fussy cut the flower leaving just a sliver of white around the edges. That gave it an extra pop to your lovely coloring. I love the layout and that background die.. gorgeous! I pinning this for sure!

Oh, Leslie, sounds like you are starting to "feel" retired now with getting some decent sleep, having doggie and hubby time...and catching up on laundry! Yay! I'm thrilled for you! And this card is gorgeous! Whatever you call it (or they call it)...shabby, country, or water...it's beautiful! I love the sunflower coupled with the smaller sunflower image, which are so precious paired together. And what beautiful papers, distressing, and perfect stitching. And I love the chicken wire for a "lattice" background. Beautiful, my friend, and I wish you a lovely day doing whatever you want! Hugs!
