Hello, friends! This will be short today, but I hope you’ll find it sweet. I have a hurt index finger which makes just about everything difficult, including coloring. I’m hoping it will return to normal soon – bandaged to keep it immobilized and a daily dose of anti-inflammatory. It has to get better. How would that be to finally reach retirement and not be able to stamp? I can’t even imagine!
I’ve made a card much different from the norm for me in that it includes no stamped or colored image. . . just a sentiment, and not a very large sentiment at that. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the creating of it with some easy die cutting and layering.
I’m using dies from a recent Dies R Us order where I keep a wish list which I add to and tweak and hem and haw over until I feel I’m making some wise and useful choices. Ha! Wouldn’t it be nice if everything in my stamp room was a wise and useful choice? I’m trying to do better. Really I am! This time it worked out just right.
- Spellbinders Elegant Ovals, Grand Ovals, and Classic Ovals Large
- Sue Wilson Delicate Fronds. This one appears to be not available now, but check out Memory Box Finnegan Fronds which includes a bird. Hmm. . . thinking of a future order. . . I will always use any kind of delicately cut foliage.

All tucked away for an upcoming birthday! Come see us on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog, and check the Challenge Blog, too, where you can play along and win! Have a happy day!
Your creation is lovely even if you didn't color. I've just about totally come away from coloring in my old age. Hope that finger gets better quickly. Did you take it to the doctor?

It's a beautiful creation...and it gives me an idea for a card for my daughter-in-law, whose birthday is this week--and I almost forgot! I think I have some pretty dies that I could layer, too.
Do hope your finger heals; that has to be so frustrating.

You sure knocked this card out of the park sporting a bum finger Leslie! Wow! Just look at those lovely layers! Beautiful! Feel better soon!

Leslie, this is absolutely stunning! You add such perfect details such as the silver thread and the lace. Praying your finger gets better soon. I can't imagine not being able to stamp and being retired.

I'm so sorry to hear of your 'finger issues' and yes that would be horrible with retirement so close! But on the plus side of not being able to color right now ... you've created a gorgeous card with beautiful layers and a sweet sentiment! Just beautiful ... well done!
Heal quickly ... can't wait to see more of your lovely work!

Oh, Leslie, what a beautiful and soft card! I just love the soft pinks and greens together, and just dies and a little sentiment with the beautiful ribbon and lace...and pearls! It's stunning! Now about your finger...ouch! I'm so sorry, and I am praying that it feels better soon. I broke a blood vessel in one of my fingers a week or so again and reinjured it twice...ow! So take care of it, and if need be, see a doctor. But I trust you will be coloring again soon. No, you can't retire and not color!!! So excited about the countdown to your retirement. Yikes!! Snoopy Dance soon! Are you planning a special "celebratory" card for that day! Hehe! Hugs, sweet friend, and take care of your finger!

I thought I would miss your coloring but the paper you chose looks just like you. This is a beautiful card, Leslie. Nevertheless, heal that finger ASAP!

Oh, Leslie, this is breathtaking!! I am so enamored by the use of your pretty papers, dies, and the sentiment taking center stage! Your finger concerns me...I hope it wasn't caused by stamping...and that it is easily treatable and just needs a little rest. I am excited for you with your upcoming retirement!!

So pretty, Leslie. Someone is accumulating an impressive inventory of dies and she uses them in a spectacular way.

Me thinks you should take at least three weeks off of work to let your finger heal properly, cannot risk retirement and stamping! Beautiful card! Hope your finger recovers quickly!
