It’s Peep of the Week Challenge time, friends! I’m always excited to see each new thumbnail linked up over there on the Power Poppy blog, and every week there are the fabulous featured Peeps. I know Marcy is genuinely thrilled to see her stamps in use on your cards and projects, and loves every one of them. I hope you get a chance to play along this week. Each month there is a random drawing for a winner of a stamp set, too, don’t forget.
After we finished up the previews of our Happiest Holiday, Part Two release I barely let a day pass before I got busy and colored up another of the Bough Wow Wow images. The two main images in this set are just so fun and festive and beautiful! Today it’s mittens and pompoms, ribbon and hearts and boxwood. I let the image pretty much stand alone on a very mail-friendly card. I stamped and colored directly onto the one die cut oval and added a single heart for embellishment.
The card measures 4 1/4” x 6”. One paper covers the card base entirely and I zigzag stitched a horizontal stripe for contrast. I sponged the edges of the oval to match the smudgy edges of the designer paper. These are the Copic markers I used:
Of course, there’s sparkle on the pompoms. They beg for sparkle.
Who’s got some Power Poppy inspiration this week? Let’s have a look:
Thanks for joining me today! Wishing you all a very happy weekend!

I agree -- those pom poms BEG for a little sparkle! Love the colors you picked here Leslie and the fabulous way you've accented that beautifully colored image -- with that to die for die cut panel! The antiqued edges make it stand out all the more!

OH MY GOODNESS! Leslie, I love this. The image reminds me of Flourishes when it was in its prime. :) And always, always, your coloring makes me ooh and aah.

Oh my Leslie, I love this card. Love the colour combination you used, so soft and pretty (then again I'm partial to those blue colours). I agree with Julie about the antique edges, it really sets off your image nicely. I think this is one of my favourite holiday cards you have made this year - I'm off to PIN it! Beautifully done - have a wonderful weekend!

This is so dreamy feeling friend...it’s one of my favourite Christmas combinations too. There’s just something about that blue that gives the red the perfect contrast. Perfect use of the DP too....to borrow that word as a sentiment :)
