Well, hello again! Seeing as how I sat out Days 3 and 4, we’re now at Day 5 of the Power Poppy previews and that brings us up to Geraniums Take Two. Marcella has provided a stamp-in-the-hand version of the beloved geranium image which was released last month as a digi, and added a brand new image and extra sentiments. Love!
And I do mean love! Just a couple of days ago I was saying how much I enjoy working with fall colors, and now I’m right back in the summer garden again and can hardly bear the thought of it coming to an end. Is this not the prettiest geranium image?
I’m not sure I’ve seen geraniums quite this color, but I wouldn’t mind having some. I colored up the brand new potted geranium with my Copic markers and made an accent piece with the larger image by cutting it apart and rearranging it to fit. Again, I colored the entire image panel to give it an ivory tint. I used loose circular strokes for a blotchy, parchment paper kind of look, with a little more shading close to the image. These are the Copic markers I used:
More of these pretty geraniums are blooming here:
I hope you’ve had a chance to see samples using all the beautiful sets in the new “Share Your Sunshine" collection. Tomorrow (Aug. 1) you’ll be able to claim some (or all!) of these lovelies for yourself and start sharing your own sunshine. The entire Bloom Brigade will wrap things up with a hop to celebrate the release, so do stop by and say “hello” if you can. Have a most wonderful day!

Stunning! I think I might grow to like geraniums if they came in this color! You make this looks so easy, but I know what goes into it. Love the cluster down in the corner. Glad you had a couple days off, but you made up for it.
