Hello, there! Happy Monday! I’ve made cards I haven’t had time to share -- what with the day job and all the spring gardening I simply don’t sit down long enough to take the photos and write the posts. Sitting down means dropping on the couch after dinner with all good intentions of getting up again. . . but it’s time to apply myself, so I hope you don’t mind a lot of posts this week, both here and on my Goldens and Garden blog.
Today’s card was one of those grab and go situations. I like to have something to color on coffee breaks at work so in my typical “hurry up” mode I grabbed an already printed image and went with the colors which were in my “life in a bag” at the time. By the way, the tote bag I carry to work usually weighs about eight pounds, holding my purse, coloring supplies, Kindle, snacks (cheese, fruit, almonds, etc), shoes and socks and maybe a light windbreaker for my after-work walk. It sometimes weighs more and I may be juggling other bags, as well, or potluck goodies. Sounds crazy considering I always come home for lunch. I see people walking in with nothing more than a purse. What is wrong with me? I attribute it to the fact that I really want to be home more than anything, so I take as much home with me as I can carry. Alright, enough digression. . .
This is a freebie digital image I saved from the Digital Two for Tuesday blog. If Cora had a search feature on her blog I could find this image and link it for you but, alas, she does not, and this was apparently not given a fairy label. I didn’t realize that until just now. Sorry! I colored with Copic markers and white embossed the sentiment. Lots of Stickles were added for fairy sparkle, which looks much better in real life – there goes that photography issue again. It’s really not as dark and blobby as it appears. I’m hoping some little girl will enjoy this as a birthday card, so it’s going into my “for sale” basket at work. There are more details in the recipe below. See you soon!
Stamps: Fairy digital image from Digital Two for Tuesday blog, Hero Arts sentiment Paper: Regal Rose, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Prima Sweet Fairy designer paper Ink: Printer, Versamark (for sentiment), Copic markers for coloring Accessories: Rhinestones, Stickles glitter glue in gold, green, pink, and blue, Spellbinders A2 Curved Borders One and Twisted Metal Tags and Accents
Your card is just beautiful. Love the colors you chose and as always your coloring is spot on! Well done!

Pretty, pretty sparkley fairies!!! Gorgeous colors and design!! Wow, an 8# bag of stuff...almost like a bag of potatos...lol....I can relate though, as I don't travel light either...when we go to our North home, I have such a big bag of stuff in the front with me, I hardly have room for my feet...lol!!

Very pretty. I love the papers and it's a coincidence, but I've had those same papers out in the last week or so too Leslie. Pretty fairies and coloured beautifully.

Oh, Leslie, what a darling, totally darling, card! These little fairies are the sweetest, and you've colored them wonderfully! Just love the layout too! And, I really got a chuckle at your bag of goodies you lug back and forth! But...we always have to be prepared, right!? Hugs, sweet friend!

You sound like me, I tend to take a bit more things with me than I probably need to but I like to be prepared :)
Your card is darling and I am sure it will go very quickly, awesome coloring and I think your curved border die with it is just perfect, such pretty paper to go with the fairy's!!

Such a cute card Leslie! I'm glad to have internet back. We were without power for 8 days and no phone or internet for 14 after the tornadoes. We sustained damage but are all okay. -Mary R

So, so pretty, Leslie! Cute fairies. I LOVE that die-cut border on the bottom, and the white embossing, too. Great touch.

I tried to visit you last evening but WordPress seemed to be having a problem. Fabulous card and I do believe I had a book as a child with this image. Love your choice of colors and all the finishing touches!

Another beautiful card Leslie. Love the fairies and all the sparkle. You are so good at using your dies, love the curved border as well as the accent at the top. I have this die (twisted metal tags) and never thought to use it in this way. You are so clever!
