Hello, friends! A little trip out of town to our son’s house last weekend interrupted my usual flow, so I have but one card to share this week and it is, sadly, a sympathy card.
Once again I had no sympathy cards at the ready, and I do like to send them without delay. Unfortunately I would have no time to stay home and stamp, so I packed up my Copic carrying case with a few images and a paper pad for matching colors, and while the guys were working outside, I colored at the kitchen table. This card was made with one of my Digital Two For Tuesday florals. The original image can be found here. I had printed the image twice so I could embellish with the extra flowers.
Once home, I crafted the colored image into a pretty card for the pretty lady who had passed.
Thank you for your visit. I hope to see you again soon. Have a lovely day!
Stamps: Free vintage digital image from Digital Two for Tuesday, JustRite sentiment Paper: Memory Box Lavender (lightly sanded), Classic White, Prima Sweet Fairy designer paper Ink: Printer, Copic markers Y11, Y21, G20, G21, and G28. The gray shadowing was done with C00, C1, C3, and the Colorless Blender (0). Accessories: Ribbon, pearls, Martha Stewart branch punch
beautiful card for a sad occasion. I no longer make sympathy cards. It is the one type that I just buy.

Leslie, this is beautiful. I love the softness of the yellows and mauves. This card will surely be heartfelt by the recipient. Your colouring and shading just blows me away, how perfect it is, and love the simple layout. The sprig of purple branches and cluster of flowers finishes this off nicely. As always, your such an inspiration.

Hi, Leslie! (I'm sorry you needed another sympathy card).
Still it is beautiful (as usual) and oh-so-lovely! If you had not gone to your son's house, I would guess that Lulu helped with this one because of the pretty golden flowers. Such pretty stitching and colors! hugs, de

Beautiful...love how you added the fussy cut flowers and the "sprigs of lavender" with the bow. Thanks to you, I have been "collecting" quite a few of these images myself...making note of the colors you used too.....a very gorgeous card...you are making me wish for Spring (saying this as it is 8 below, snowing and the wind is howling its head off..lol)!!!

This is such a soft and gorgeous card and perfect for any occasion! What type of printer do you use? I have printed some pictures out but with Gamsol and colored pencils it occasionally smears.

This is just so beautiful. I love the soft yellows and adding more flowers as an accent was genius! This will mean so much to the family & they will know immediately how much time & love went into this card in honor of their family member.

Sadly, we all need this kind of card now and then. Your card has such a quiet elegance to it and I'm sure the family will love that you are thinking of them.

Why is that some of the prettiest cards are sympathy cards! Absolutely beautiful and perfect coloring as always!

A lovely, lovely card Leslie. I've always like lavender and yellow together too. The beautiful coloring, stitching, and designer paper with its softened edges is peaceful - I especially like the second use of the flowers for an embellishment. Glad you are all home safe and sound.

Oh, Leslie, what a beautiful and soft card! I'm so sorry that you needed another sympathy card...sadly, it seems we are never ready nor have enough of them. But this is sure to bring comfort. It's absolutely gorgeous with your amazing color, and your layout is beautiful with the added delicate embellishments. I love how you've sanded the edges for a softer feel. And thanks for sharing the Copic colors for shading...I actually just used the C series for shading on a card, which I think works for some colors. I am always delighted to see what you create with the beautiful Digital Two for Tuesday images. One day I'm going to try one. Thanks and warm hugs, Cheryl
