Hi, there, and happy Monday! I didn’t get any stamping done this weekend, but I do have a cheerful card to share which I made recently for a friend’s birthday. She likes gingham and flowers and happy cards, so I hoped this would bring some sunshine to her cold winter days. Since her birthday was near Valentine’s Day I liked the idea of the cute little dangling heart, too.
I used a Bugaboo image called Flower Can and colored with Copic markers. Layered die cuts over pieced together designer paper scraps with a frayed gingham bow complete the picture. I embossed the center yellow layer and colored the edges of the others with a BG10 (or BG11?) marker.
I felt like taking a little stamping break after making all those Valentines, and it actually felt good to get up in the morning and think about other things when ordinarily it’s my favorite time to stamp. I finished a book I was reading, went for a rainy day outing with the dogs, did some gardening. I have found that the more I stamp the quicker and easier the cards come together and I don’t want to lose that momentum, so I’ll be back at it this week. In the meantime I’ll drop in with some things I’ve made and haven’t shared yet. See you soon! Have a lovely day!
Stamps: Bugaboo Flower Can digital image Paper: Neenah white, pale yellow Bazzill textured, My Mind’s Eye Howdy Doody designer paper Ink: Printer, Copic markers for coloring Accessories: Ribbon, button, linen thread, Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy embossing folder, Spellbinders Lacy Squares and Blossoms Nestabilities, Scotch brand foam mounting tape
Bugaboo has some of the cutest images and this is no different. Very cute and you have turned it into a fabulous card. The colors and dp you chose are perfect as well as the bow (love the frayed edges)and the embossed panel. Enjoy your down time. We need that every so often. Happy day!

Well if this card doesn't make your friend feel happy and special, then nothing will. It's so sweet and makes me dream of Spring ... and then I read that you have been outside doing some gardening ... so not fair!!!

Oh Yes! As a city girl, anything country has a great appeal. And your card says "country" to me. Love the gingham paper, charming frayed bow and wooden planks. This will knock the socks off your friend. Nicely done.

Gorgeous. So cute and the image does lend itself to gingham and happy bright colours. The panel of wood grain paper really sets the design off well.

You have a real talent for taking the simplest image and turning it into something so special. I have yet to figure out you use so many can put together so many papers and accessories onto one little card. Love how you let the bow go with a ragged edge. I usually use a lighter to keep it from fraying (DANGER)!

I've always been in love with your color combo's and this card is no exception! I love the whimsical and delightful image. And the frayed ribbon edge is a very complimentary look. I imagine I might find a sweet watering can on your deck (smiling) full of posies. Thank you for a dose of springtime - I need it - desperately! (laughing).
Hugs, Susie ~
