In my memory this was a ducky image. Well, you can see it’s not a ducky… it’s a chick. It wasn’t until I’d printed it that I realized it’s a chick. Oops. I needed to make a ducky baby card in bright colors, and I thought I had my bases covered, sigh… Not to worry. I went digi shopping and found a ducky which I’ll color up and share soon. But, for now I can always use another baby shower card, and I love this image for baby showers.
This is a digi stamp called April Showers. I found it at Designed to Delight, which is now called From the Heart, and I do not see this image there now.
It’s a good thing I learned that I can color satisfactorily with Copic markers on my Staples cardstock because to my dismay I cannot print anything heavier on the new printer I purchased to go with my new computer. This isn’t an option I would have preferred, but it will have to do for now. I printed the image twice and colored the umbrella a second time, cut it out and popped it up over the first one.
The very cute designer paper is another collection I’ve targeted for use in order to lighten the load in my scrap drawer. It’s perfect for a cheerful chickie shower card!
That wraps up this week’s stamping. I’ve sure enjoyed myself and I hope we can meet here again next week. Take care!

There's always so much wonderful detail in your cards, Leslie! chickie...ducky--whichever, this is cute as can be!

I don't think anyone makes cards that make me smile the way yours do! They are always so cute & happy! This one is no exception. It may not be a ducky, but this chick is adorable. I love all your detail and the sewing just makes it extra special. My sewing machine is on the fritz so I have to do painted stitches, which are not nearly as beautiful. Stitching just gives your cards that extra personal touch I love so much.

Such a cutie. So sorry that you couldn't pass off your little chickie as a duck, but I'm sure you will come up with something incredible! I love your cheerful colors and layout.

precious precious PRECIOUS! How do you do it, Leslie? Always so sweet, pretty, beautiful, imaginative, peaceful, darling -- all combined -- your colors look amazing, and the shading in your "ducky" (I think he is a ducky with a small bill) LOL or maybe he got in an accident, and he doesn't care that he resembles a chickie. LOL
Darling card. hugs, de
