Hello! I thought I would drop in for a brief visit before the long weekend. I’ve been out of touch for a couple of days due to my laptop going on the blink. We get so dependent upon our online connections, I was at loose ends thinking it would be a prolonged outage, but luckily it was fixed easily. I ended up not only getting the laptop fixed, but buying a new desktop pc, which led to a new desk, which led to a lot of cleaning out and reorganizing of papers. It’s been a long couple of days.
Today’s card is quick and easy. I made it for my friend’s granddaughter’s engagement. The young couple are pizza and beer type college kids, but the soiree which will celebrate their engagement is a rather formal affair. My friend hoped I could make something that would meet in the middle. She loved it, so that was good enough for me.
There’s no stamping other than the sentiment. Just pretty papers, some die cuts, and a flower. Everything is listed in the recipe, below. I hope you enjoy! Have a lovely weekend!
Stamps: Flourishes Wedded Bliss Paper: Vanilla textured, Classic Ivory, My Mind’s Eye Howdy Doody designer paper Ink: Close to Cocoa Accessories: Spellbinders Curved Borders and Floral Flourishes, Prima flower
This is gorgeous! Love the color combo!

So pretty! I fully intended to make a card for my son's wedding in the Portland area two weeks ago---even bought a neat digi stamp of a wedding cake---but all the other activities took over, and we spent 5 days there. Maybe I'll make the card and send it now!

This is so soft & beautiful, it really doesn't need a lot of coloring. I bet this goes into a scrapbook somewhere! Isn't it funny how getting one new item can suddenly involve a lot of other new things? I'm glad you are back in business! Enjoy your long weekend!

Such a beautiful engagement card with the soft, peaceful colors, Leslie. I like how the flourishy leaves separate your two background panels. As for the computer - boy does that sound like ME! One thing leads to another leads to another and leads to yet another, and before I know it, I think, "how did that all happen?" My room is an absolute mess and I must get to it soon. hope you enjoy your new puter!

How pretty! I love the curved edge on that gorgeous dp and the simple layout looks amazing! Glad you got your computer up and running again quickly. I wonder sometimes how we ever survived before computers! :)

Who knew papers called Howdy Doody could be so lovely? I would expect bandanna print or something! This is so sweet for the young couple, Leslie.
