This is as far as I’ve gotten with the fruit cards I’d planned on making – #2 in a pair of pear cards. I’d no sooner started them than I got an order for four more birthday cards, three of them for children. I could say “no”, but I’ve been making cards for these kids since the day they were born and, well, I guess it’s becoming a tradition. It’s just that I’ve been making so many children’s cards lately…
This is a stamp set from Flourishes called Pears. I made this card as a companion to the last pear card I made. Similar in style, but different in many respects, too. The coloring is exactly the same – watercolored on 90 lb hot press watercolor paper with Stampin’ Up! inks.
To make the frame I embossed the Cuttlebug Heritage Collection folder on Core’dinations cardstock. I cut out the center oval with a craft knife and then sanded the paper to distress it and bring out the core color of the cardstock. It’s mounted over the image panel on Scotch brand foam mounting tape.
I’ll be back later this week with a card I made over the weekend. I hope to see you then. Enjoy your day!
Stamps: Pears (Flourishes) Paper: Chocolate Chip, Core’dinations brown cardstock, 90 lb hot press watercolor, BasicGrey Scarlet’s Letter designer paper (retired) Ink: Palette Umber, Stampin’ Up! inks for watercoloring – Old Olive, Ruby Red, True Thyme, Close to Cocoa, Creamy Caramel, Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery Accessories: Copper brads, Cuttlebug Heritage Collection embossing folder, Scotch brand foam mounting tape
Wow, I want to reach out and touch them, they look so golden warm. Just beautiful, as always.

Wow, this card is incredible, Leslie! Your coloring talents never cease to amaze me. This should be framed and treasured as the artwork it truly is. I do hear and understand your frustration about the request for more children's cards when your interest is in a different direction. Linda
