I was beginning to wonder if I’d ever finish this card! Since we brought LuLu home I’ve been inexplicably tired, dragging through the work day and spending the rest of my time establishing a routine with Wally and LuLu. I had a headache for three days, and (ahem) some other discomfort, but it wasn’t until the chills and achiness hit me Friday night that I realized I had a mild bug of some kind. Darn those bugs! By Sunday I was feeling a little more perky and I managed some time in the stamp room.
It looks like this may be my one and only Thanksgiving card this year. I’ve used Flourishes’ A Season of Thanks and watercolored on 90 lb hot press watercolor paper with Tombow Markers. Every image in this set is simply wonderful, and if I had my druthers, I’d color every one of them. In reality, however, I had to choose one for starters and leave the rest to chance.
It’s hard to not spend all my time following Wally and LuLu around with a camera. They’re so cute together! More photos of them in a day or so. For now, I think I’ll go indulge myself in a little more of that puppy love. I have a lot to be thankful for. See you soon!
Stamps: A Season of Thanks Paper: Dark brown Bazzill textured, More Mustard, 90 lb hot press watercolor, 7 Gypsies Gypsy Market designer paper Ink: Palette Noir, Chocolate Chip, Adirondack Sandal (for sponging edges of image panel), Tombow Markers for watercoloring Accessories: Silk ribbon, copper nailheads, SU! Modern Label punch, Scotch brand foam mounting tape
What a wonderfl card! Love everything about it! I know exactly how it is with a new puppy. She has so much to learn and needs guidance constantly! Glad you are beginning to feel better!

Oh, Leslie, this one is an absolute "WOW" - which is exactly what I said when I first saw it. Has such an elegance to it. Just beautiful. Glad you are feeling better, & hope it won't be long till you're back to 100%. Sounds like the best Rx you could have would definitely be some time spent with those wonderful doggies of yours. Enjoy!

What a lovely card and post, Leslie. Although, I am sorry to hear you had a week of feeling under the weather. You made me smile with the "ahem" part, and I feel thankful that I will not have any more "ahem" discomfort. :)
The layout for this card is terrific and of course, your coloring ALWAYS rocks. The papers are gorgeous too!

Getting sick is all it's cracked up to be, eh. Very glad you are feeling more like yourself. You outdid yourself again with this card. It's a delight and I wish I could obtain the beautiful effects you do so well with Tombows. I'll persevere. Hugs to the baby and her brother.

Beautifully coloured card Leslie. I feel watercolour gives a beautiful result and doesn't take quite as long to complete as alcohol markers. You're doing well getting this done especially since you've not been well and you have your hands full with your fur babies. I'm glad your starting to feel better now.
Give the "kids" a hug from me.
