Hello, and welcome to Monday! The card I'm sharing today was made with a stamp set which may be familiar to some as part of the original Rejoice set from Flourishes. The set has been reworked this year to separate Rejoice and the angel, along with several other elements, into different sets. Alleluia Angel it's called -- smaller and, I think, better! The graphic, above, shows the entire set. Isn't it beautiful?
I thought I'd try something very pure and clean for my angel, using nothing but silver and white. The angel and sentiment are embossed in silver. I stamped and embossed the angel twice, then cut out and popped up the second angel. The little star sprinkles she's releasing from her hand are on the image mat, but I cut them off for the popped up image.
Mirrored cardstock has a way of appearing black in a photograph unless you're careful with the angle. Here I hoped to show the silver embossed elements plus the silver mirrored cardstock plus the dry embossed white cardstock. . . perhaps resulting in a less than stellar photograph, so I'll beg your forgiveness (please?). A word on that mirrored cardstock -- LOVE it for frames and mats and anytime you want to go ultra-elegant. It looks so metallic!
I wish I could tell you where to find the particular Cuttlebug folder I used on this card. Mine came in a QVC special variety pack last year -- no labeling on the individual folders, and I have no idea what it's called. It sure is pretty, though!
Don't miss this: Flourishes will be giving this set to a lucky winner. Just leave a comment on the Alleluia Angel post on the Newsletter and your name will be tossed into the hat for a random drawing.
For some very pretty samples with this set, please check in with the rest of the Flourishes team:
Flourishes new release previews will begin Wednesday. Enjoy your day!
Stamps: Alleluia Angel Paper: Flourishes Classic White, silver mirrored cardstock Ink: Versamark Accessories: Spellbinders Lacey Squares and Classic Squares Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folder (name unknown), silver embossing powder, Scotch brand foam mounting tape
The silver shows up beautifully. Very elegant and wonderful card. Love white cards.

Leslie, this is ethereal! That silver cardstock is just amazing, and you've photographed it just right. I see nothing but shine; no blackness! And I'm glad you explained about that embossing folder - I instantly thought, "Oooh, what's that one called? I need it!" But alas, I shall have to do without.

I've been seeing these Angels popping up here and there today! I have to say, I saw a red one and a blue one that I really liked, but your silver is absolutely gorgeous! I love everything about this card right down to the embossing folder used on the base card!
