Thought I'd paint a geranium today. They still bloom on my doorstep, colors dimmed with age, but a valiant effort forward nonetheless. Autumn has come sidling in, and with its gentle nudge suggests to summer they cannot occupy the same space for long. One fades, the other flourishes. Little does Autumn know, Winter is already making plans. . .
Both Autumn and Summer colors share space on my card. They seem companionable enough for the time being. I've used JustRite stamps from Stamper's Dream -- Beautiful Blossoms and Birthday Centers (the latter appears to be out of stock). The image was watercolored with inks, cut out, and popped up. The innermost oval and the sentiment circle are sponged with Apricot ink. More supply details can be found in the recipe below.
I'm making this quick because I seem to be excessively tired today. I'm sure I'll perk up in time to go to work. I hope you have a very pleasant week, and I'll be back to visit more when I get a chance. Take care!
Stamps: JustRite Beautiful Blossoms and Birthday Centers Paper: Purely Pomegranate, Pumpkin Pie, Apricot Appeal, Ivory, designer paper of forgotten origin (something old from my stash) Ink: Palette Noir, Purely Pomegranate, Garden Green Accessories: Ribbon, 1/4" circle punch, Spellbinders Classic and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities, Scotch brand foam mounting tape
Beautiful! Yes, Fall is definitely on it's way here too. You can feel Winter just around the corner. Thankfully, here we have mild winters. There are several days of really cold weather, but mostly very moderate. We are blessed to be in the Tennessee Valley! As always, this is amazing. The colors do blend nicely!

Your card is absolutely gorgeous Leslie! I'm ready for summer to take it's departure and Fall to make it's appearance. We had gorgeous weather this past weekend, sunny, cool temps. No leaves turning, but that rarely happens in Tampa, its usually either green or brown here, not much in between.

Leslie, going beyond your gorgeous cards, your blog entries are always so poetic. I love how you verbalize the change of seasons. You manage to take nature's beauty and not only put it on cards, but you put it into words. Thank you for the journey!
