That's a silly title for this post, I know. I guess you just run out of them after a while, much as I run out of ideas for masculine birthday cards. This card is for my friend's son-in-law. I make a birthday card for him every year and I'm always trying to come up with something different. My husband and son are indulgent and understanding -- they'll take anything as long as it makes me happy -- but this is another matter. I should probably try to suit the recipient.
I used a Flourishes set called Menswear for the beer mug and "Cheers". I hope the flourishes aren't too dainty and feminine, but it needed something and I like them. They're from Wedding Essentials (retired, but still available on sale while supplies last). I colored the mug with Copics and made the foam with liquid applique. The mug is popped up on foam mounting tape.
To embellish, I used a row of Nailheads. Love those things. They come strung together like this on strips of adhesive, and you can simply cut off what you want to use. Easy to place in straight rows and the spacing is done for you. I'll take all the help I can get!
I hope this finds you well today. I'm back to the work day routine this week -- good and bad, but I'll make it work. Take care!
Stamps: Menswear, Wedding Essentials (both Flourishes) Paper: Creamy Caramel textured, Classic Ivory, retired Stampin' Up! designer paper Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Copics for coloring Accessories: Nailheads, Cuttlebug Organic Flourish border embossing folder, liquid applique, Scotch brand foam mounting tape
You did Good! Wonderful card for a man! I'm never able to come up with ideas that don't have frilly and flowers on them. My husband is very tolerant also!

Ooh, I really like this, and those nailheads are really nice, speaking from one who really dislikes using brads!!

Oh my word Leslie, the beer mug card is superb! I adore the tan colored flourishes and your coloring on the mug, not to mention its foamy white head. You hit the nail on the head with those light gold (or are they copper) nailheads. Thanks for the links.
