Well, after two seasonal cards in a row, I’ve come back to the flowers which, of course, are seasonal, too, but I love to stamp flowers summer, winter, spring, and fall. I’m using a piece of Stella which I tried to brighten up with two shades of ivory and some white with a bright pop of pink in the Sweet Peas.
I colored with Copics and shaded around the image with vanilla ink. After I colored the Sweet Peas I traced over the tiny tendrils with the fine tip of a green Stampin’ Up! marker. I accented with a copper Finishing Touches ribbon slide, a copper pearl, and a pretty pearl cluster which came from Flourishes, but appears to be out of stock. It fit just perfectly in the diamond pattern of the paper. Sigh… I can’t wait for all the new items to arrive in the store.
Did you know there's a new challenge going on over at the Flourishes Newsletter? It's called Bring Back Beautiful, and at that link you can find the information and links to all the GORGEOUS cards created by the special challenge team. Unbelievable beauty and well worth your time to hop around and take a look. You can participate in the challenge and maybe win a prize. My card today was not created with that challenge in mind -- it's not nearly beautiful enough -- but wait till you see the cards created by the challenge team. You'll probably faint!
It won’t be long before my Stella paper is all gone. It’s been quite a journey with her. I’ll be certain to send her out in style, so rest assured we’ll be throwing her a party. More on that later.
Have a very Ruby Tuesday, and I’ll see you again soon!

Leslie, I'll be sad to see Stella go, but I have no doubt you found something at CHA to step up to the task!!
Beautiful card. I used to call my daughter "Sweet Pea" when she was younger, so I always enjoy when I see cards with sweet peas!!

Leslie, your card is gorgeous. Your coloring is beautiful as always. I never think of using a light pink to create the shading behind the image. Maybe now I will remember.
It was so good to see you in Chicago! Big cyber hugs!

Oh just lovely. I'll be very sorry to see Stella go considering it was here that I found the inspiration to buy my own Stella and accessories.
