Hello! I'm back today with another JustRite sample, this one from the new Let's Celebrate. This set came along in the nick of time as I needed to make a birthday card for a one year old boy.
Bright enough? I was hoping to make something that would catch his eye along with all the brightly wrapped presents and sweetly delicious cake. I pulled the colors from the designer paper that's been in my stash for a while, just waiting for its moment. It was a gift and I'm not sure, but I think it's DCWV. The dotted border around the monkey face is one of the borders that comes with the set. I colored the image with Copics, punched it out and did some layering, as you can see.
I wanted to accent the card with a star to match the stars in the paper, but I don't have a star punch or die or stamp or chipboard or anything else that would work (wouldn't you know?). So... I drew a star on cardboard, cut it out and covered it with cardstock. I sanded the edges of the star and then covered it with Stardust Stickles Glitter Glue. All the cardstocks I used are CTMH, which has a white core and can be sanded to allow the white to show through.
This card also uses the sketch for the JustRite challenge which ends this morning at 9 am central. I'm not sure if anyone reading this could possibly have time to jump in with a last minute card, but if you're a speed stamper, please read the challenge details here. The prize is a $50 gift certificate to Stampers Dream, as well as three honorable mention prizes of one JustRite set of your choice.
The Stamper's Dream Team has been showcasing the new JustRite sets all week, so if you'd like to take a look, the schedule for the week is as follows:

WOW, perfection for a 1-year-old -- just AWESOME!!! And, you're right, that is Nana's Kids paper by DCWV. I don't even have grandchildren, but it was simply too cute to pass up, so I got 2 of the small stacks on clearance! Love this!
