Wally and I have spent many days this winter clearing paths in the woods behind our house. Pictured here is a small portion of the main trail (hurry up, Mom! I want to play in the creek!). Rain or shine, this is where Wally gets his daily exercise. I've created quite a meandering maze back there. It's not an exceptionally large area; there aren't miles of trails, but Wally runs a mile for every step I take.
We've experienced a few days of beautiful spring-like weather, perfect for walks in the woods and soaking up some sun in the garden. What a great way to spend a lunch hour, and with the perfect companion. Wally never complains or gets stressed out.
He's a good listener, too. See how hard he's trying to understand?
I think he's got the general drift of things -- I've told him often enough what a good boy he is and how much I love him. Think I'll tell him again, though, just for good measure. Have a great day!
Oh Leslie...he's in love with you! I can see it in his eyes! I'm so jealous looking at all that green grass. Lord, we still have 2 feet of snow to melt, before we will see brown. It won't be green until late April....ugghhhh!

Lump in my throat, moist eyes....y'got me, Leslie. Such love in his eyes as he looks at you. When I think about how this love affair started the day you met, it's no wonder that every picture you show us is filled with love! Can't thank you enough for sharing it with us!!

and you can see in his eyes, he loves you too! Your a great doggy mom. One things dogs do is force us to get our exercise. Even though we'd probably just sit and stamp but I don't think stamping counts as aerobics.

What a beautiful setting...reminds me very much of my MIL's place on Whidbey Island, WA. Your sweet pooch is a lucky guy, as are you.

Oh boy! A Wally post!! Not that I don't love seeing your beautiful creations, but you know I have a special place in my heart for Wally. :) He looks fabulous and I know he totally understands every word you say. LOL! btw - I have two new fur-babies as of yesterday. They are Boston Terrier / Lhaso Apsa mixes. One girl baby Princess Daisy (only cause she thinks she is royalty) and Dude (very laid back kinda guy). It has been two years since I lost my sweet Maggie and a little more than that since Hannah passed. These two just kinda happened into my life - my sister got two of their siblings. Life is gonna be interesting for a while...

Oh, he is so handsome! Goldens really do know how to live and can teach us so much with their big brown eyes and untroubled hearts.
