Monday greetings! I’ve been working on some birthday cards – both children and adult – for a special order, and I’ll be sharing some of those this week. Today’s card uses an image I’d colored in advance, and I thought it would be pretty for one of the adults. It’s a digital image from Squigglefly called Simple Pleasures Birdbath.
I printed on Flourishes Classic White cardstock and colored with Copic markers. This image makes me think of spring and my own birdbath which is often spilling over with flowers of some sort. The raccoons were always knocking the bowl off its pedestal when they climbed up to get at the water so I planted flowers in it instead. The first year I used fish fertilizer in the planter, and one day I was out working in the garden when I heard a contented chirring sound. I followed it to its source and found a raccoon happily digging away to get at the fish it supposed was in there somewhere. No more fish fertilizer in my garden!
I hope this day finds you well and happy. Enjoy your week!
Stamps: Simple Pleasures Birdbath digital image from Squigglefly Paper: Flourishes Classic White Cardstock, green textured, Pale Plum, Memory Box Gossamer designer paper Ink: Printer, Copic markers for coloring Accessories: Ribbon, flower, button, linen thread, doily, Spellbinders standard circle die, Sizzix brick wall embossing folder, Martha Stewart Arched Lattice punch, Scotch brand foam mounting tape

This is lovely! I have a little birdbath that will no longer hold water and have plans to plant flowers this Spring! Your colors on this image are wonderful and the card makes me think of Spring. Our weather is on a roller coaster and one day it's 60 the next it's 30 and snowing. Typical March weather for East Tennessee!

This is just so beautifully charming!! Makes me just sit back and dream of spring...and butterflies...and warm weather!! Thank you, Leslie!
And thanks for the birdbath inspiration. I'm thinking the ones that have little cracks in them would do well to be used as a planter!

The digital stamp of the birdbath is beautiful! I love the detail on the base of it. Your coloring of it makes it seem so real too. The raccoons don't seem to bother our birdbaths. It's the bear that just can't seem to drink from them without tipping them over. I'm considering getting a birdbath that sits on the ground. Have fun with all the beautiful gardening ahead!

WOW !!!! This looks like a oil painting - absolutely
gorgeous! I hear you about the raccoons. That happened
with our birdbath - my hubby figured out a way to fix it.
It took 2 trys but it worked. I don't remember all the
details but I believe he placed a rod in the bottom portion
and then glued (I think) the top on. It worked!
