I love dogs and I love dog stamps. Whenever I’m browsing I always go to the critters first, and I found this one during a pre-Christmas self indulgence at our local scrapbook store. It’s from an Inky Antics set called Delightful Dogs #3. Hmmm…I wonder about #s 1 and 2. Bet they’re cute, too.
I can’t think of a much more cheerful greeting than the kind you get from a friendly dog, so I chose this image for my friend’s birthday card. Happy papers and colors and a little fun with the design – that’s what I love about stamping. I smiled all the way through this.
‘Course I had to put some sparkle on the butterflies, and I used my (new favorite) Basic Lattice Spellbinders die to add to the outdoorsy, garden-like setting. I made corner brackets with some JustRite custom dies and “nailed” them on with silver mini brads.
I stamped with Memento Tuxedo black on Flourishes Classic White cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I’m often dumbfounded by how many markers I’ll use on a simple image, but each one has its place:

How adorable is this! Love the image...I'm a sucker for dogs! I like how you did the corners and of course I love your coloring. I never get on well with markers! Just a really cute card!
