So… I’ve packed up a few things and moved over to my new home on the web. I’ve still got some finishing touches to add, but I’ve spent enough time on it and, after all, this is supposed to be about simplifying, so I’m done fussing for the time being.
As I mentioned before, the primary focus is Wally, LuLu, and the garden. My reason for this is that I have been feeling pressured to stamp and create simply because I have a stamping blog. I’ve found myself inclined to create what I think might be well received on the blog without enough regard to my own whims. I feel I should use new products I can link to, and give detailed instructions with photographs of the markers, etc. That’s what you should expect of a stamping blog, I guess.
However, Life brings changes in priorities and gradual realizations of its flawed parts. If I’m to continue stamping and blogging, I’ll have to do it differently. By shifting the focus of my blog I won’t worry that I’ve got too much puppies and not enough stamping.
That said, the first new post on my new blog is a stamping post. If I haven’t scared you all off yet, I hope you’ll come visit me at:
You’ll see there where you can follow me by email or subscribe in a reader. I know I may lose a lot of you, but many of you may enjoy the new approach – less talk and technicalities, more photos. Friends of Wally and LuLu will be happy to know they’re no longer confined to Saturdays, though I will still try to save a Saturday post for the folks who like to check in on that day. If you’re more interested in seeing stamping projects, there’s always the option of clicking on the stamping category to filter out the rest.
I hope to see you there!

While I found and followed your blog because of stamping, I've looked forward to your Saturday posts since you began posting about Wally and LuLu. I'm a Golden lover as well and have been fortunate to have had two share their lives with me. You can be certain I'll continue to follow your blog so I can get my "Goldie fix" with a bit of your wonderful stamping thrown in the mix. Enjoy your kids!!!

Leslie, there's no way I would NOT follow you, no matter what the subject matter. I love Wally and Lulu, your garden and YOU! I'm there... as soon as I finish typing this comment. Can't wait to see your new "digs" (get it?) :-) Hugs and special wishes for your new blog!

Leslie - my dear friend - I totally get feeling the pressure of blogging and how it can effect our stamping joy. Let me just throw in my .02 for what it's worth. You know that I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing your stamping creations...whatever they are...whatever products you've used. I don't care a whit if you don't feel like finding and posting a bunch of links or giving any instructions. If you know the name of the stamp set and manufacturer, I'd often times love to know it so I can go look it up (link not necessary if you don't feel like doing it) and I always love to know if you used chalks or watercolors or some sort of pens, but I don't need to know all the colors and such. I just want to see what you've made...especially if you made it just because you wanted to without any agenda...because those are always the best creations. AND you know I also love your garden and those pups...oh especially those pups! So whatever you decide to blog, you know I will follow you. I miss stuff sometimes beacause I let my Google Reader get up to 492 like it is right now and I have to mark all as read, but I will never stop following you, my friend!

I'm off to the new blog. The most important thing is to keep happy.

Blogs are supposed to be fun and about what interests you. If they become a chore or less pleasureable, then it shows, so I think it is good that you shift the focus of your activities. I am a big, big dog lover and have three of my own and I just love your doggie stuff. Dogs and stamping do it for me, so I shall continue to visit.

Leslie, we have loved your art and "furry family" for so long! Your photos will now be your primary expression...looking forward so much to more of the exploits of your "kids"...thanks for making many of us smile!

Leslie, will you close this blog down? I'll change my link to the new one :) I think you should feel free to blog whatever you like! It's YOURS and it should make you happy. And I'll be glad to see whatever you do!

Thank you so much for all the inspiration you have given me. I enjoy your stamping and creativity. I however, will be removing myself from this blog and will not be following your new blog as I am interested in stamping inspiration.
I do understand the need for change and know it happens to us all. I wish you the best of luck as you make the leap and hope you find the peace you need in your life.
Best of luck!

You can't get rid of me that easily! I will be following your new blog and enjoying every picture, whether it's stamping, dogs, or gardens! I'm glad your doing this-it's important to do what makes you happy :)

I smiled as I read your post - and I understood. We have so many more facets to our lives don't we. And to define ourselves in one area of creativity would be a shame. Designing in your garden will be, I think, even more satisfying. Creating and moving color from one place to another. Focal points and areas of interest. The garden - sanctuary of sorts. You don't need me to say you're doing the right thing, you already know and have gone forth. I will continue to follow your new blog. For how could I turn away from a friend just because there has been a turn in the road. I'm looking forward to seeing the garden and of course the sweet and lovable Wally and Lulu in a different way. This is exciting!
Blessings and Hugs,
Susie ~

Oh I TOTALLY understand your decision to focus on what YOU want to create and WHEN you want to create it...rather than just making things you think the public will like. Good for you for creating a new blog for you to share things that you're passionate about. I'm going to change my link to your new blog addy and I'm off to check it out now. :)
