Hello, and happy Monday to all! Today I have a card to share which was made for a special friend who had one of those landmark birthdays Saturday. I’m not sure I should say which landmark it was, but let’s just say young enough to wear a shoe like this and old enough to feel it at the end of the evening. Sending a happy birthday shout out to my awesome friend, Jami!
Jami was the first person to befriend me on Splitcoaststampers. We both live on the west coast and we’d be up late making gallery comments, back in the day when there were few enough gallery pages to scroll through beginning to end. Since then, I’ve had a couple of opportunities to spend time with Jami -- one of those rare treats for folks who become friends online.
You may be familiar with Jami’s “More is More” motto. In fact, it’s the name of her blog. She likes to pile it on – the more bling, the better. So, of course, I had to glam and glitz it up for her birthday. I started with this shoe from Flourishes’ Feminine Charm set. The glitz just fell into place after that – sparkly embossed paper, rhinestones, shimmery red lace, black velvet, and striped satin ribbon. I colored the flowers to match, added Stickles Stardust glitter glue and a decorative brad center which was a happy match with the ribbon. The black foliage around the flower was coated with Black Diamond Stickles.

Hard to believe I once wore similar shoes. Now its either sneakers or bedroom slippers! Super card and fantastic image. The red, black and white is absolutely striking!

Having a friend who shares your passion, is as they say...PRICELESS. I envy her for being able to still wear shoes like that-pain or no pain! You've certainly follwed her mantra of MORE IS MORE" ... she's going to love it!
