This is one of my favorite cards I’ve made recently. Lots of white space, a tiny bit of pretty designer paper, and a simple colored image to satisfy my ever-present urge to color.
The sentiment is another from my Stampendous Sincere Sentiments set. It has no images with it, so I’m left to select from among the many choices in my stamp room. These lovely Great Impressions Roses (#G30) are an old favorite. I colored them to somewhat match the rose on the far left edge of the designer paper strip (Prima Annalee). These are the Copic markers I used:
A simple post for a simple card. Love that! Now let’s all go and have a fabulous weekend. Wally and LuLu will be waiting here for you tomorrow!

Beautiful card Leslie, your colouring is amazing. The roses look so real with the way you coloured and shaded. Love the 'white' area on the card just a bit of paper to pull it all together!

Whether you use Tombows or Copics, your colouring knocks my socks off. I have to believe that you were classically trained, unlike us dull normals that bumble our way through trial and error. In any case, I love your work, learn from it and look forward to more. I'm also looking forward to seeing updates on a couple of four-legged blog pals tomorrow. Happy weekend!

Very apropos sympathy card, Leslie. Love the way you colored those roses. You know, I have that same sentiment stamp set, and your use of it recently reminds me I need to pull it out more often.

This is a stunning card! I love the simplicity of it. Having just lost my mom last month, the most beautiful cards we got were the simple ones. your coloring on the roses is gorgeous. I can't wait to see Wally & LuLu tomorrow! I think you have a whole internet of followers who wait for Saturdays to see those two. It's like we have all become "adoptive" parents too!

This is so beautiful, Leslie! I don't think I've ever seen more realistic roses colored...do you use the YR000 on your rose? I agree, the most beautiful sympathy cards we've received were the simplest of designs. Can't wait to see the newest on Wally and Lulu!!
