I thought I’d start out the week with something cheerful, but first I should offer some explanation for why I didn’t share additional Wally and LuLu photos on Sunday as I’d mentioned I would. The fact is, the day came to an end and I’d forgotten to schedule the post. Too much on my mind and too little sleep, I guess. I’ll save it for next Saturday. Long story short, Wally ate something he shouldn’t have (fatty food – he doesn’t tolerate it and he didn’t get it from us, grrrrr) and now he’s suffering. Saturday night he woke me up every hour – no exaggeration – so he could go outside and relieve himself. I don’t think he slept much in between, nor did I. As I write this Sunday night, I fully expect another sleepless night facing a 6:00 am alarm for work in the morning. However, Wally and I will be visiting the vet, and work will have to get along without me for a while. Don’t worry, I’m keeping an eye on our Wally.
Now, the card:
Does it look like fun? You’re darn tootin’ it was! I bought these Inky Antics Holiday BaZooples sets #1 and #2 for Christmas cards this year. This is Set #2. I’d better get crackin’ if I’m going to finish them. I made two identical cards with this image – a good start. I’ve got three more images to work with. I like this one because it reminds me of Wally and LuLu. I colored with Copic markers using these colors:
I forgot to include the blue markers which I used for shading around the giraffe. Those were B00 and B0000 with the edges further softened with the Colorless Blender.
I made the snowflake with Spellbinders Snowflake Wonder Shapeabilities (retired?). I pressed each layer into my Tsukineko glue pad and sprinkled with glitter for ultra sparkle.
I’ll be seeing you again in a day or two. Have a happy week!

Darling card...gorgeous coloring!! Poor Wally...my Nellie ate not one, but 2 SOS pads last month....I was scrubbing something on the floor with one, the phone rang, came back and couldn't remember where I had put it, so got out another one, lost track of that one, too...and two days later they came out of hiding (so to speak)...scarey...I have a new pic of "Nellie" my Goldendoodle on my blog if you would li9ke to see "her"!

When the week starts off this crummy, you just know it's got to get better for both you and Wally. Hope you both get a good night's sleep tonight and that Wally's innards are feeling better.
What a fun card! Love the image & how you've mounted it, and really love the colours you chose. A great picker-upper for Monday. Thanks for sharing!

Sorry to hear about poor Wally. I hope he will be okay. Your card is just darling. I like how you used the top as white space to color the larger image. I will remember that next time I have one. :)

Awww sorry to hear Wally got ahold of something that didn't agree with him, we really have to watch Peanut when we take her for walks she will eat the nasty of things, don't understand it myself.
Your card is just darling and your coloring of it is fantastic!!! That snowflake ribbon is too cute!
Sure hope you were able to get some sleep last night!

Such a cheerful card. Love the colors and the little details such as the punched border to match up with the polka-dot paper @ the bottom of the card as well as the gift wrapped pkg.
Sure hope Wally is better today. It's never easy when our four-footed family members aren't feeling well. Sending lots of well wishes your way.

Happy card, happy colors, and yes, a very happy beginning to the week when we all get to see your creative compositions. I'm so sorry Wally is sick. We have to be very careful not to feed Penny little bites while we're visiting. She's sitting next to me on the sofa (missing her mama). Unfortunately our daughter travels a great deal and even though we're here she is on travel :( But it gives us a chance to help watch Penny. She gets to stay with me rather than go to camp. :) Love the colors on this card, Leslie. Your Copic coloring looks wonderful. Really enjoyed this happy card.

So sorry about Wally - really maddening when people don't respect our pet's concerns. Please give him a hug for me and one for darling little Lulu too. Hope you get some rest soon. Fun card, your coloring is always so beautiful.

This is just adorable! I really love it! I admit I checked Sunday for more pics of your 2 precious little ones & was disappointed when you hadn't posted. I'm sorry it was because Wally was sick. I know how you must feel. Our four legged friends are family in every sense of the word!
