Every region has its perfect season, its perfect month. I’ll bet early spring is absolutely glorious in the south. Fall is spectacular in New England. Florida or Southern California is the place to be in the winter. Here, on the Oregon coast, now is our time. The air is quiet and still, temperatures comfortably warm. I live outside. Any excuse to be outside. Wild horses could drag me in, but they’d have a time of it. Now is the time to breathe and nourish the soul. We all have our own way of doing that. I think I’ll just sit a spell and take it all in.
My favorite view of all…
Have a beautiful day!

I'd want to be outside too! Beautiful gardens and such a handsome pooch. Love you, Wally!

There seems to be a quiet beauty here in East Tennessee this time of year. It's sort of like summer sighs and then gives over to Fall. It is a quiet time with foggy mornings and and gentle breezes. I too sigh in relief; our summer has been so terribly hot and now you can feel the change when you step outside. Have a great day, and hug Wally; he looks like he needs one!

So peaceful and beautiful, Leslie! We would love to have our yard look like that, but unfortunately, neither I nor my husband like to do yardwork!

lucky you - it's glorious.
Can't really complain about my section of the world though. Tempts are wonderful. My garden is past it's prime though, but I still enjoy sitting out there and having my supper or reading a book. Have a great day

We just returned from a trip to Seattle and the Oregon coast. Yes, it is beautiful like you said. Everything seems to grow over there, too. Thanks for sharing the lovely pictures. Are you located in the Northern Oregon coast? Fell in love with Astoria.

Green thumbs to go with your crafty ones as well I see. Wally is precious.

Your garden and flowers are gorgeous, the ginger "Wally flower" at the bottom is beautiful, but of course you know that. Enjoy the fresh air and lovely weather while you still can. Here in Scotland,(UK) our nights, and even through the day has been quite nippy lately, I've even noticed a few early Wally coloured leaves on the trees, lol

Leslie, this is just what I needed after my first long day back at work. We worked 12 hours today with Open House. Your gardens are refreshing and Wally is just so sweet. Would love to snuggle up with him and take a nap about now. Thanks for adding to me day.

This is amazing Leslie. I can see why you love the outdoors. I would live out there. Wally looks so sweet. Great pictures. Enjoy.

I am on my way over to sit and stare at your beutiful sourroundings. I LOVE to garden and here in the south it is nearly impossible. The clay they call soil is not very good for gardening. My plants look horrible no matter what I do. I just gave up. :(
Hugs~

These pictures are gorgeous! I think I could sit and thoroughly enjoy your garden also, makes me want to kick back and just listen to the stillness of nature. Wally looks peaceful and happy too.

hee hee look at that face. He is so sweet Leslie. Oh I know he and Ranger would have so much fun together. Beautiful backyard, you enjoy that and relax. Hugs...

OMGosh! Look at these beautiful photographs. I enlarged the first one to take a closer look at the plants. Your Buddleia bush is really getting big and did you plant lobelia in the blue pot? Beautiful, just beautiful! Tending a garden allows us to create sanctuary. Is it any wonder our Lord spent so many hours praying in the garden - His creation all around.
It looks like Wally has been in the wading pool *laughing* What a sweet guy! I know the garden is a special place for him too.
Hugs,
Susie ~
P.s. When you have a chance read the book, From the Ground Up - The story of a first garden by Amy Stewart. You'll love it I promise.
