Hello, and happy Thursday to everyone! Today I'm sharing a card for a December birthday. It's going to a lady who loves snowmen and sparkle so I used my new snowman set - Warm Winter Wishes from Flourishes (I'm thinking this set might be sold out at the moment as I don't see it in the store today). There's no shortage of sparkle in my stamp room, though, so I was able to deliver that unreservedly. It's on the snowman, the edge of the scalloped border, the silk flower, and the brad.
The sentiment is Life Lines, also from Flourishes, and seems appropriate for a snowman, especially around here where he (she?) would probably melt by noon.
The inside sentiment combines nicely with the "live in the moment" philosophy and seems snowman-appropriate, as well. Goodness, don't the years have a way of snowballing once they get to rolling along?
The "over the hill" sentiment comes from a set of birthday quotes I picked up at my local scrapbook store. It's by Fiskars, called Make a Wish Quotes. I didn't even know Fiskars made stamps, but I learn something new every day. I've always got my eye out for a good sentiment set, and this one is loaded with fun birthday quotes. You can see the full set here.
That's all for now! I'll return tomorrow with something for Flourishes pre-release challenge. Yes, it's that time already. Talk about picking up speed. . . has it really been a month already? Live in the moment! I'll remind myself of that when I'm at work later. . . Wishing you a happy day!
Stamps: Warm Winter Wishes, Life Lines (both Flourishes), Make a Wish Quotes (Fiskars) Paper: Baja Breeze textured, Pink Pirouette, Flourishes Classic White, Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly designer paper Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Sage Shadow, Copics for coloring Accessories: Offray ribbon, silk flower, glitter brad, rhinestones, Stickles Stardust and Frosted Lace glitter glue, Crafty Sparkles glitter, Martha Stewart deep edge punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, Scotch brand foam mounting tape

Just love your card! Wonderful Holiday card! I have this little snowman all stamped and ready to color sitting on my desk as we speak. My fingers are flying trying to get everything done!

This is just too stinkin' cute Leslie! I guess I must be picking up the speed, I reached the summit a few years ago . . . LOL!

That has got to be the prettiest snowman I've ever seen Leslie and the sentiment could not be more perfect.

Oh Leslie, I love this little guy and the colors you used for this card. I wonder how many sets you alone have inspired me to buy, like the fern set I just purchased. This is so sweet and I still have those papers, so I may have to CASE this one at sometime. I'm also honing in on how beautifully you showcase your cards. Is that a Photo-shop thing with the soft edges, cause it's gorgeous and really sets off your pictures. Loved the pics of Wally in the snow. I'm sure he was loving that while it lasted.

Super awesome, Leslie! (I'll just pretend it's for me, since I have a December birthday and am "over-the-hill!" LOL!) It is so gorgeous and I LOVE that sentiment. Also, as I was reading about where you had glitter on your card, I was thinking you probably had glitter in more places than you mentioned! I know that I always do! Thanks for sharing your talents and beautiful cards.

This is so sweet and inspired sentiment, Leslie!! I love seeing this snowman dressed up in different colors, and all the glitter!! Even in Colorado, our snow usually doesn't last more than a day, unless it's a big storm! I'm sure it was pretty while it lasted though!

Leslie, What an adorable and glittery snowman. I think your sentiment is perfect for the snowman and the inside for your girlfriend. Such pretty glittery flower and DP's too. TFS
