Continuing on the bird theme. . . I think birds make a nice focal point for sympathy cards, and since I hope to never go sympathy card-less again, I replenished my stock by two today. It seems the worst time to be without the card you need is when you need a sympathy card.
Both cards use JustRite Backyard Birds and Sympathy Nested Sentiments. This is the best grouping of sympathy sentiments I've come across, so I wasted no time adding it to my collection. The first card is colored with Copic markers.
I also made use of my Nested Frames Custom Dies again today, and both cards use BasicGrey Curio designer paper.
The second card is watercolored:
I'll keep this brief today, as I'm spreading my time over a lot of different activities while I'm home from work. I hope you're enjoying the remainder of the holidays. Take care!
Stamps: JustRite Backyard Birds and Sympathy Nested Sentiments Paper: Prism Suede Brown Medium and Dark, Classic Ivory, Always Artichoke, Arches 140 lb cold press watercolor, BasicGrey Curio designer paper Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa (for Copic colored outline), Palette Umber (for watercolored outline), Always Artichoke (for sponging edges of second card), various Stampin' Up! dye based inks for watercoloring, Copic markers Accessories: Ribbon, brads, Spellbinders Square, Circle, and JustRite Custom dies, Scotch brand foam mounting tape

Oh my goodness these are lovely! I really like the watercolor one! Your talents are amazing. I do have a thing for birds!

Leslie, so glad you are finding time to play with your stamps while you are off. I thought I'd have tons of time to craft and surf the web/blogs while I have the kids home, but no! It's not working out like that at all. :(
Loved those pix of Wally recently. What a sweetie.

Leslie, these cards are beautiful and the perfect use for BG's Curio papers. I hate making sympathy cards when I need one. I think I will follow your lead and make a few for my stash.

What beautiful sentiments and beautiful cards. I love them both. We are about to walk up our trail to see all the cascading water after 2.6 " of rain in the last 24 hours. Think the worst is over for awhile. Leslie, enjoy your little vacation.

Beautiful cards. I especially like your blend of backgrounds to highlight the vocal point and sentiment.
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a great comment. All I can say is there is nothing like the love of a Golden except the love of two or three or four. I had four and it was an absolutely perfect pack. Think no more, Wally would love another Golden and you will be surprised how much time the two will spend together laughing about the silly things humans do. I highly recommend adding to your pack. Have a wonderful, happy, healthy New Year.
