Hello, and welcome to another Friday, a new month, and a new Christmas Spirit Challenge from Flourishes!
This challenge will run through October, so you’ll have plenty of time to enter for a chance to win the Flourishes Christmas stamp set of your choice. The idea this month is to choose one stamp set and make two cards with two entirely different looks. Please check Flourishes SCS Forum or the Newsletter for further details.
I chose Seasonal Wreaths for my two cards.
I love this twiggy wreath (Seasonal Wreaths) and I thought, perhaps, I could make some quick cards with it. Funny how they look like they should have been fairly quick cards, but I managed to stretch out the process interminably. One card is done up on shimmery white cardstock with velvet and satin, rhinestones, glitter, and touches of gold. I cut lots of Spellbinders shapes, embossed the wreath in gold, Cuttlebug embossed a snowflake panel, and stamped a burgundy Damask panel. The "Merry Christmas” is from the Holiday Greetings set.
Stamps: Seasonal Wreaths, Holiday Greetings, Damask Paper: Shimmery white, brushed metallic red, metallic gold Ink: Versamark, burgundy, Copics for coloring bow Accessories: Ribbons, rhinestones, gold trim (all from Flourishes), light gold embossing powder, Stickles Xmas Red glitter glue, Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, Spellbinders Classic Circle, Labels Four, Snowflake Wonder, and Double Ended Tags, Word Window punch, Scotch brand foam mounting tape
The second card is a masculine version, which was much less time consuming than the fussy, fancy card (whew!). The wreath is embossed with brown EP, and the red berries on both wreaths are dots of Xmas Red Stickles. I added a cluster of punched twiggy branches under the ribbon knot and glittered them with Stardust Stickles. I cut into my new BasicGrey Jovial paper for this card, too. Gorgeous papers in that collection, as well as these with a somewhat masculine, outdoorsy look.
Stamps: Seasonal Wreaths, Holiday Greetings Paper: CTMH Pepperwood, Bazzill tan, Flourishes Classic Ivory, BasicGrey Jovial designer paper Ink: Versamark, Adirondack Sandal, Close to Cocoa, Ruby Red Accessories: Ribbon, red Nailheads (from Flourishes), Martha Stewart branch punch, Stickles glitter, brown embossing powder, Spellbinders Classic Circle and Double Ended Tags, Word Window punch, Scotch brand foam mounting tape
I know you’ll see some pretty cards when you visit the rest of the team:
Thank you so much for stopping by! I’ll return tomorrow with something for World Cardmaking Day. Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh, I just love both of these, but I'm finding myself drawn to the "masculine" version. I'd call it the "warm, earthy" version!

Oh Leslie, that's so smart how you've stamped both wreaths! Wow! Love your nestie work on the velvet card. And the masculine version is so great with those papers and the branches under the ribbon!
