Frankly, this little guy doesn’t look too intimidating and that’s why I love him for childrens’ Halloween cards. He’s from Stamper’s Dream, one of the new Stampendous images Michelle recently stocked in the store. The stamp is called Give Candy. This card will go to a little boy.
I watercolored with Tombow Markers and double matted the image, trimming loosely along the borders. My designer papers are very old from Stampin’ Up!. I make so few Halloween cards I usually have to improvise on the papers, but the little bit of this collection I have makes an appearance at least once a year. Same with the fibers I tied around the card. This is the last of the orange. Fibers were a hot item many years ago, which probably tells you how often I use them.
The candy corn border and embellishments, as well as the star are new to me. At CHA I attended only the trade show, not the SuperShow where you could actually buy things, and I was a woman badly in need of a shopping fix after seeing all the wonderful new items which will soon become available. A few of us made a run to Archivers and I left somewhat sated with a bag full of goodies. I decided to leave all my new purchases in the bag, rather than putting them away, so I would make a point of using them. Wish me luck!
I know it’s a little early to be thinking about Halloween but, don’t worry, there will be plenty more summertime cards coming soon. Have a great day!

cute stamp and very nice for a kids card. Love the border around it and the triple matting. It and the coloring looks great.
